Celebrate Mardi Gras in style (and sumptuousness) with our absolutely delectable King Cake! Made in the traditional style, with a twist - using our Italian Lievito Madre (panettone culture), we are making the dough with exclusively natural leaven! The texture is unbelievably moist, tender, and rich. The cakes keep at room temperature for over a week. Each cake is glazed with an extra generous amount of silky-smooth, cream cheese frosting. The deftly spiced cakes are made with Copia eggs, plugra butter, special Italian panettone flour, and just the right amount of cream cheese in the dough. The cakes are layered with a cinnamon / cardamom schmear. It’s not unlike a giant cinnamon roll, more rich, and a little less sweet. Each cake comes with a little non-denominational baby figurine - traditionally the host will insert the baby into the cake (or a slice) and the guest who finds the baby will purchase the next year’s king cake!
Medium King Cake serves 4-7 people, and includes one figurine.
